For 30 years, she and her husband were board members of Happy Acres Mission in Atlanta, GA, a ministry to missionaries home on furlough – providing housing, autos, and medical services, etc. For several years, she was a mentor and treasurer of Precious to God, a ministry to abused and trafficked women here in Richmond. Anita has been involved with Serving in Jesus Name for many years and became a Board member in 2023. Anita is committed to daily prayer for the ministry and guided by Scripture that turns us toward prayer, “In the morning O Lord, you hear my voice; In the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.” Psalm 5:3
