February 2025
Dear Friends,
In February, we hosted our second Mother and Daughter Missions Event at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. With the help of sweet Ashley and Josie Ledford, we set up tables with over 200 hundred dolls and doll clothes. After I shared a message on the Joy of Service, the girls dressed and accessorized the dolls; they then wrote cards to the girls in Kenya who will receive the dolls. It was a blessing to see the girls’ excitement in this act of ministry and knowing the joy the dolls will bring to the dear Kenyan girls.

Opportunities to serve through our partnership with Child Evangelism Fellowship are continuing to expand. In February, we were able to provide Bibles to the teachers attending the CEF Evangelizing Children training in Nairobi. These teachers, who love the Lord and desire to serve Him in children’s ministry, were thrilled to receive their own Bibles. We are blessed in knowing that they will be able to grow in faith and their knowledge of God’s Word without needing to share a Bible!

Brian, a teacher who was trained in the CEF Evangelizing Children course we sponsored in November, is faithfully leading a Good News Club in his village in Western Kenya. He sent us this touching message: “Shalom, ever since I trained as an evangelist, I’ve been able to teach Sunday school in our church. My teaching is now better and more fun than before. Thanks to the SIJN fraternity. Brian.”

Immaculate continues our facility visits where children eagerly look forward to her coming with a van full of goodies and a message about Jesus.

Mt. Vernon and Berea Baptist Churches are holding Bible drives in March on our behalf. The Bibles will be shipped to Kenya in our next container, which we are planning for the May/June timeframe. See the Berea notice in its March newsletter below.

March is turning out to be a busy month for us both in Kenya and at home. In Kenya, we will be hosting CEF Discipling Children training for the 22 teachers trained in November on Evangelizing Children. Several latrine and rainwater catchment projects are well under way. Our team is also planning a series of visits to orphanages and schools. At home we are busy collecting and packing for the upcoming shipment to Kenya and preparing for several projects as part of Mt. Vernon’s Missions Saturday.
As always, we extend our thanks to the many people who support us by donating articles, providing financial support, and helping with collecting and packing. We are grateful for each one of you. May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you. (Number 6:24-25)
Blessings,
