As we prepare to ship another container to Kenya, our deepest desire is to please the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:9), for Christ’s love constraints us to serve others in His name (2 Corinthians 5:14). While remembering the myriad details, challenges, and pitfalls from the October shipment could cause us to become anxious, pictures of little girls smiling in their new dresses, of toddlers delighting in their cuddly bears, and of teenagers proudly sporting a baseball cap and kicking a soccer ball embolden us to press on. When we see a class of children holding the Bibles we sent or praising the Lord to music played on instruments from an earlier shipment, we rejoice. |
Other Activities in April at Serving in Jesus’ Name
We are praising The Lord for…
- opening a storage unit on the outside row near our other units at Hill’s Storage and for the 9 volunteers coming Saturday to move 300 boxes from my garage and upstairs over to the unit.
- the latrine and free-standing kitchen projects underway in Western Kenya
- the continuing distribution of items from the October shipment by our Kenyan volunteers
- good progress with the packing and planning for the summer shipment
We are thankful for all the wonderful people who are sharing in this ministry of love with us, and we are grateful for each of you who support Serving in Jesus’ Name with your prayers, contributions, donated articles, and help sorting, packing, and transporting. God is faithful!
Blessings,
Kathy Carlin, Executive Director
