Joy abounds when those who love the Lord work together towards a common goal with unity of spirit, intent on furthering the Kingdom of God (Philippians 2:2)! When we trust in Him to provide all that is needed, He proves Himself faithful to accomplish far more than we could ask for or even imagine (Ephesians 3:20). He equips us for the service He calls us to perform (2 Corinthians 9:8), enabling us to stand back and watch Him overcome every obstacle (2 Chronicles 20:17). After a long period of collecting, sorting, and packing, we are excited to load the container destined for Kenya this month; we are in awe as the Lord makes the rough places smooth (Isaiah 45:2). When the freight company, ignoring the delivery instructions for 5,000 Bibles, dumped 4 shrink-wrapped pallets outside our storage units, when we needed 300 boxes moved from my house to the units, and when we faced the daunting task of filling 70 additional frames with Scripture, the Lord rallied His people to accomplish these seemingly monumental tasks. |
Other Activities in May at Serving in Jesus’ Name
- Our focus in the US has been on the logistics and the last-minute packing for the shipment in June. With four full storage units, we are expecting to fill every cubic inch of the 40-foot container.
- Major activities in Kenya in May include replacing the latrines at the Mapera Primary School and building a standalone kitchen at the Lusweti Primary School.
We are thankful for all the wonderful people who are sharing in this ministry of love with us, and we are grateful for each of you who support Serving in Jesus’ Name with your prayers, contributions, donated articles, and help sorting, packing, and transporting. God is faithful
Blessings,
Kathy Carlin, Executive Director
