As Serving in Jesus’ Name starts its 4th year as a ministry, we look back at what the Lord has enabled us to do with delight and forward to what lies ahead with anticipation. The massiveness of the need and the smallness of our resources would overwhelm us should we forget the work is the Lord’s, not ours. As we commit all we do to Him (Proverbs 16:3), being faithful to do the work before us with committed hearts, working as if for the Lord, not ourselves (Colossians 3:23), we can be assured our efforts will not be in vain.

Other Activities at Serving in Jesus’ Name in January:
- The materials for the 750 children to make salvation by the color bracelets in the school and orphanage run by Faith & Love in Action are finally on their way to Haiti via container. Caitlin Terry from Hydromissions had planned to carry them on her next trip, but the political environment makes travel there just too dangerous.
Each child will get the Scripture card below in Haitian Creole to reinforce the meaning of the beads.
- Immaculate will be meeting with Joseph Kavuli, Child Evangelism Fellowship Regional Director for East and Central Africa, in the next week to make plans to start Good News Clubs in the facilities within our network.
- The local Amway Leadership Development Team selected Serving in Jesus’ Name to receive a large collection of its products, so the children and their caretakers in Kenya will be enjoying the rich lotions, soaps, shampoos, cosmetics, toiletries, and household products Amway produces.
- We donated another 200 Bibles to OneVoice since they already gave out the 200 Bibles we gave them in December. OneVoice now has Jesus’ Club in 4 local VA high schools,
- 24 of our 29 available frames have been “adopted” by friends who will fill them with a Scripture message to adorn the typically blank walls in the orphanages. We are trusting the Lord will use the Word of Truth hanging on the walls to increase the children’s faith (Romans 10:17).
